The purpose of this course is to provide a foundation for participation in health policy and for understanding the economic impact of health planning. Content will focus on organization of health care systems, health care financing and economic implications and the role of the provider in policy making. Emphasis on the analysis of health policy from a socio-economic, ideological, political, historical, and technological perspective while integrating clinical management processes and utilization of available community fiscal resources.
