An examination of the definitions, characteristics, and prevalance of children with learning disabilities, emotional and/or behavioral disabilities, mental retardation and multiple disabilities. Emphasis is placed on the environmental and biological causes of problems in motor, perceptual, social academic, affective, and behavioral development. Students will be introduced to current service delivery models and the programming for individuals with disabilities.
