This course examines reproductive biology and its evolution among the Order Primates. Lectures cover the hormonal control of sexual and parental behavior, the evolution of mating systems, mating tactics, and sexual selection. Human reproduction is considered in the comparative perspective. Prerequisites: upper-division standing, ANTH 2, Human Origins or comparable, or consent of instructor.
