Studies sound design with practical application towards usage in the theatrical discipline. Includes studio techniques, live playback, script analysis, graphic techniques for sound plots and selection and recording techniques to amplify or otherwise manipulate the performer’s voice, recreate sounds as they naturally occur and influence the emotional content of the drama. Prereq: THTR/FILM 1100 or permission of instructor.
