Introduces basic concepts in electrical and computer engineering in an integrated manner. Also introduces basic concepts of practical applications, illustrates a logical way of thinking about problems and their solutions, and conveys to the student the excitement of the profession. Analysis, construction, and testing of simple electrical and digital systems are discussed. Specific topics include notion of electrical current and voltage, simple digital systems, simple combinational logic circuits, and basic engineering computations using computer programs.
