This course builds on the basic acting exercises learned in THE102. The student will learn to analyze a role by searching for character traits, physical representations of the character, and techniques for conveying the character to the audience. Work will include the study of both comic and serious modes, and some work on historical periods. In-class exercises and outside assignments will be required. Prerequisite: THE102
