The first part of a two-course sequence that encompasses the treatment of patients in all age groups. Focus is on health maintenance, preventive care, and the psychosocial aspects of illnesses as they relate to the patient and his/her family. Students will develop the skills necessary to evaluate, manage, and monitor common health complaints and problems. Registration Restrictions: MEDEX 464. Acceptance into the University of Washington MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program.
