Students are introduced to the resources available to them at KU, in the School of Engineering, and in the Chemical and petroleum Engineering Department. They are introduced to the curricula requirements and expectations of chemical engineering students. The career opportunities for chemical engineers are described. Students are introduced to engineering ethics, basic safety considerations, teamwork, and technical writing.
