Individual research projects conducted in the college laboratory, library, or observatory; or at an external research facility; under the direct guidance of a member of the physics and astronomy faculty or an affiliated faculty member. Students must propose and complete a research project, and present a final report to the department. May be repeated once for a maximum of 6 credits. Pre: permission of the department is required. (Same as PHYS 432)
