Description:
A laboratory and field course to be taken in conjunction with BIOL 357 lecture. Laboratory exercises will introduce students to the techniques in evolutionary genetics with special reference to Hawaiian plants and animals. Topics to be covered include: quantitative genetics, natural selection molecular genetics analysis of populations and species, ecological genetics and adaptation, and conservation genetics. Pre: BIOL 175, BIOL 175L, BIOL 176, BIOL 176L, BIOL 270, BIOL 270L and BIOL 280.
