An overview of the juvenile justice system, including the history, development, and current controversy over children's rights in the legal system examined in light of relevant principles of behavioral science and behavioral systems of rehabilitation. Topics include delinquency, miscreancy, status offenses, dependent-neglected children, child abuse, and juvenile court procedures and personnel (e.g., probation officers), and rehabilitative programs.
