Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in MAT1033, or satisfactory score on placement test, SAT or ACT. This course is appropriate for liberal arts students who plan to concentrate in fields which require no specialized mathematics beyond the general education level. The course content includes: selected topics from history of mathematics, sets, logic, counting methods, probability, geometry, metric system, and statistics. This course cannot be used to satisfy degree requirements for students with credit in MGF2202. Contains non-algebraic CLAST skills. A scientific calculator is required. Lecture 3 hours. Special fee.
