Examines the genre of the creative nonfiction essay from the perspective of the writer. Students explore various aspects of the genre through writing essays and close reading of essays by John McPhee, Annie Dillard, Barry Lopez, Joan Didion, and many others. Repeat credit is allowed for different topics. Prerequisite(s): ENG 298 and WR 230 , WR 241 and WR 242 .
