Examines the oral culture of the indigenous peoples of North America, the tradition of storytelling and oration, and the literature of contemporary Native American writers and their contributions and influences upon American culture in interdisciplinary ways. Readings include selections from legends and myths, oratory, and contemporary prose, poetry and drama.
