Writing Basic Skills Prerequisite: ENGL 0301Reading Basic Skills Prerequisite: READ 0303Math Basic Skills Prerequisite: MATH 0302This course is a discussion of current topics in astronomy in more detail than the basic course. Topics, partially chosen by class vote, include modern spacecraft investigations of the planets, the possibilities of life in outer space, interstellar communication, space travel, and recent discoveries such as pulsars, black holes, quasars, dark matter, and the universe. This course is for students who want more than just a basic descriptive course.
