Prerequisites: DRAM 1351, SPCH 1311, SLNG 1207, SLNG 1321, SLNG 1345/SGNL 2302, and successful completion of mid-program evaluation.Overview of the interpreting process and current models. It introduces the skills necessary to achieve message equivalency in interpreting. The student will identify interpreting process models and will apply these models to text analysis. The student will differentiate contextual factors affecting language usage in the interpreting process and will begin to demonstrate an ability to produce dynamic equivalence from source language to target language.Semester Hours: (4-3-3)CIP: 16.1603
