Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in READ 100 or satisfactory test score. An introductory course covering significant aspects of music history and music repertoire of the Western European tradition. Music of non-Western traditions is also outlined. Fundamental knowledge through guided listening and descriptive analysis is stressed. No musical background is necessary to take this course.
