An introduction to the critique and creation of digital images using image editing and/or image manipulation software. Readings will explore issues concerning the digital image andgraphic design for the internet as well as printed graphic media. Topics include scanning, resolution, file formats, output devices, color systems, and image-acquisitions. Students will be expected to use graphics software and create WWW pages to complete design assignments. Outside lab hours are required to complete assigned projects. (Prerequisites: Core and CIS 1003 or BIM 1553)
