This course focuses on the development of both interactive communication and written skills through the practice of advanced functions, including stating and defending opinions, debating issues, soliciting and given advice and making persuading and convincing arguments. Students will be exposed to a wide register of both written and spoken Spanish, including idiomatic expressions, colloquialisms, and slang. By the end of this course, students will be able to show proficiency at the Advanced-Low to the Advanced-Mid range (based on the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines in all four skills). Prerequisites: SPAN 101/102.
