This course introduces students to issues facing urban populations. Such issues include, but are not limited to, poverty and homelessness, housing, crime and violence, crowds, transportation, schools, employment, and minorities.Within the course content, students are encouraged to explore opportunities for social services work and ministry in urban areas. Prerequisites: PSY 200, SOC 200, WR 320.
