An in-depth examination of contemporary bioethical issues, such as the definition of a person, determination of life and death, euthanasia, doctor-assisted suicide, abortion and maternal-fetal conflict, prenatal diagnosis and intervention, problems in the physician-patient relationship, new reproductive technologies, research on animals, genetic engineering, and human cloning.
