Two course sequence with a general introduction to writing for the Mass Media (including radio, television, internet, book, newspaper and magazine contexts) and then an in-depth analysis of journalistic reporting, writing and editing. Student will write with the objective of being published whether in newspapers, magazines or electronic media. Prerequisites: COMM 211 or 212 or 260 and a writing course or instructor's consent.
