These courses introduce basic communication skills that communicate various kinds of literature. Interpretive readings provide opportunity to improve vocal quality, diction, expressiveness, as well as nonverbal aspects of communication. Empathy, identity, and community are experienced through oral interpretation. COMM 111 focuses on various kinds of literature while COMM 112 emphasizes the interpretation of the Bible.
