An exegetical study in Paul's epistle to the Romans with emphasis upon understanding the particular situation to which the book was addressed and the way that its key concepts are developed and presented to meet that situation. The course is designed to enhance the students' understanding of the early church, Paul, and his instructions to the Roman Christians and to develop and strengthen their exegetical skills. Prerequisites: BTH 101/102.
