Topics include folk music, popular music, world music, music theory, and cultural and historical influences. For non-music majors. Prerequisites: DSPW 0800 and DSPR 0800 or demonstrated equivalent skills. MUS 1030 meets the general education requirement for Humanities. This course is part of the general education core.
