Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENG 084. 3 credits formerly CJ 204 Police-Community Relations An analysis of the problems of the police as they relate to the community and the procedures used by departments to meet those problems are covered. Attention is given to police practices that have caused public hostility and that could isolate law enforcement from the community. Students also become knowledgeable about the practices that foster positive community relations and police-citizen communication.
