Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENG 101 or permission of art coordinator. 3 credits formerly AR 100 Art Appreciation Students are introduced to the concepts and principles of art including line, shape, form, color and space. They study selected works and complete basic exercises in a variety of art media in order to understand and develop an appreciation for the creative process. A paper based on direct observation of works in a major museum is required. No previous art training is necessary.
