Provides an introduction to theories and principles of day care for preschool children aged infant through age 6. Presents a variety of activity/educational strategies. Curriculum needs, program planning, and special issues in day care will be discussed. Techniques for effectively working with parents will be addressed, as will appreciation of cultural differences among children and families. Prereq: PSYC 210
