Prerequisites: BUS 3200, BUS 3401, BUS 3715, and instructor consent. This course is open only to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Liberal Studies - Business Major. The course is designed to be a structured program of supervised participation in activities of business. Students are given credit for major-related significant practical business experience. The internship should allow the student to apply concepts and technical skills learned in the classroom to a real work setting. Students must work 180 hours during the semester; keep a journal describing their work activities and hours worked; write weekly reports and a final paper describing the learning value of their internship; and participate in group and individual sessions with the instructor. The student must have a 2.75 or better grade point average on all courses taken from the Department of Business Administration (or equivalent courses taken elsewhere) and make application for the Internship the semester prior to that in which it will be taken. The student.s internship employment must be secured before registering for the class.
