A survey of the history of digital media and reviews current and future technologies. The pre-production phase of interactive program development is examined. Aspects of multimedia relating to Web, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, Animation, and Virtual Reality are covered. Attention is given to the legal and ethical issues associated with digital media. This course includes hands-on research regarding client assessment that will be used in Communications 452. This course also provides instruction using authoring software. Offered fall term each year.
