This course is an introduction to the theory and application of the calculus of a single independent variable. Following a brief discussion of selected topics in algebra and analytic geometry, the methodology of differential calculus will be stressed, and the use of differential calculus in the description of continuous analytic functions will be emphasized. Finally, the role of antidifferentiation, and the concept of the integral will be introduced. Throughout the theoretical development, numerous applications to the natural, social, and management sciences will be considered. Prerequisites:MS242 Credit Hours:3 CR. HR.
