This course provides an examination of major aspects of colonial life and the important political and economic events of the period from the early 17th century through 1789. Attention is paid to the establishment of colonies, lifestyles in various parts of the colonies, the American Revolution and efforts to form a new government after the Revolution, and elements of colonial history and life which form part of our heritage.
