(3) For non-majors only. A general education foundation studies course designed to provide students with an opportunity to gain an understanding of mathematics and the mathematical processes. Emphasis is not placed on remediation of arithmetic skill deficiencies. Inductive thinking and discovery are emphasized in applications selected from a wide variety of topics. Requisites: PR, at least a C grade or better in MATH 010 or equivalent, or a probability of at least .50 of earning a C or better in College Algebra, listed on the ACT profile, or ACT Math score plus ACT Science score greater than or equal to 40 with neither Math nor Science score being less than 18.
