This course extends the fundamental principles of object- oriented programming using Java as our tool. The focus of this class is on advanced applications development. Topics include: objects, classes, inheritance, interfaces, GUI components, layout managers, events, multimedia, exception handling, and I/O files. Prerequisites: A "C" or better in CSCI 1236 (or equivalent) and a solid under- standing of data types, control structures, and algorithm design.
