Includes the study of the historical, theoretical, and practical dimensions of materials and methodology in foreign language education. Through lectures, discussions, and class activities, students will become familiar with the theory and practice of teaching foreign languages at the 6-12 level. These activities include the reading and discussion of text materials, development of lesson plans, evaluation of materials, in-class demonstrations of teaching techniques, and appropriate field experiences.
