Continued development of all five language competencies (listening, speaking, reading, writing, and culture) with a strong emphasis on conversational skills. Practice in the use of everyday French for functional vocabulary build-up and increased oral proficiency. Course work includes the study of authentic oral materials (such as excerpts from films, radio and TV programs, recordings of songs, skits, etc.), as well as situational communicative exercises.
