Course coverage includes the flow of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods through the supply chain. Particular emphasis is given to the design of channels of distribution, management of inventory, evaluation of transportation alternatives, information flow, facility location, outsourcing and third-party relationships, and the rapidly expanding field of logistics information technology.
