ENGL 2121 is a study of British Literature from its beginning through the eighteenth century. This time span covers the Old English period, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Metaphysical and Cavalier eras, and the Restoration and Neoclassical periods. Works studied include those of the "Beowulf" poet, Chaucer, Spenser, Shakespeare, Milton, Donne, Marvell, Dryden, Pope, and Swift. Prerequisites: ENGL 1102 with a grade of "C" or better.
