This course introduces and explores visual aesthetic principles as they relate to the various aspects of stage design. Projects are designed to give the student an understanding of the use of line, color and composition as it relates to stage design. The student will explore the process of producing a design including research, comceptualization and presentation of the design. Studio projects in scene, lighting and costume design complement lectures.(3 lect.)
