This course approaches the study of the figure and the portrait through painting and drawing. Direct observation of human models will be used in conjunction with instruction in composition, media usage, and the history of the figure in art. Prerequisite: Completion of ART 1005 or ART 2210 or instructor's permission. (2 lect., 3 lab)
