Description:
A foundation course for science majors providing an introduction to evolution and a study of the major groups of organisms with an emphasis on their structure, form, and function. Lectures three hours per week. NOTE: BIOL 111, BIOL 111L, BIOL 112, BIOL 112L, are prerequisites for most upper-division biology courses. Student who have completed BIOL 101, BIOL 102, BIOL 101L, BIOL 102L, and who wish to take upper-division biology courses without completing BIOL 111, BIOL 112, BIOL 111L, BIOL 112L, may do so only with permission of the department.
