An introductory course for students interested in exploring the field of Music Therapy as a career. Students will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of music therapy foundations and principles, including the history and philosophy of music therapy. Includes observation and an overview of Music Therapy with various populations. This course is a prerequisite for all other Music Therapy courses. Permission of the instructor is required for students not majoring in Music Therapy. This course cannot be challenged.
