This course prepares teacher candidates to assess young children in diverse settings. Students are trained in the art and science of observation and appropriate and detailed documentation, in order to assess and evaluate the learning progress young children are making. Students are trained to make programmatic and curricular changes based on assessment information. Prerequisites: ECE 2210; EDU 2262, 2264, 2266.
