The course includes movement and skill concepts necessary to successfully implement and teach in the pre k-5 setting. Major emphasis is given to developmentally appropriate games, sports, and activities for each grade. Additionally, students have the opportunity to practice skills and activities learned both in lab and field settings. Attention is given to the organization, management, and assessment of students in this age group. A wide variety of teaching strategies, styles, and learning environments is explored and practiced.
