Prerequisites: Students must be admitted to the Nursing Program. Must be a Sophomore Nursing Student and working as a nursing assistant or similar role. Students will examine the roles, responsibilities and interactions of health care team members in a modern, acute care clinical unit in relation to the work and goals of that unit. Students will meet in a small group with an instructor to discuss professional issues such as nursing’s contributions to care, organization and management of a hospital unit, hospital culture, nursing cultures and pace of work. Each student will develop objectives for personal professional growth.
