Prerequisite: Honors standing or permission of university Honors Program. A course designed to examine original sources for works of art that are presented during the regular seasonal offerings of performing arts organizations in Cleveland and on the Cleveland State University campus. Students will attend concerts, plays, dance recitals, ballet, musical theater, and opera. In preparation for each event, the historical, social, and aesthetic context of each work will be studied along with related topics that enhance the appreciation of the event.
