Prerequisite: MLR 340 or permission of chair. Provides a broad understanding of compensation systems, and how organizations use them to attract, retain and motivate employees. Topics covered include: legal constraints, job analysis and evaluation, performance appraisal, person-based pay, setting and administrating pay structures, incentives, benefits and the compensation of special groups. Topics are covered in depth, and in more detail than in MLR 340.
