Prerequisite: Honors standing or permission of university Honors Program. All Honors students, except first-semester freshmen, are required to take a Universal Honors Experience course each semester. A maximum of 50% of those courses may be sections of HON 2001, a not-for-credit course. The content of the Universal Honors Experience will vary considerably from term to term. Alternatives include the following: service learning, volunteer work for the Model UN, reading club, and film club. Students may also propose a topic for a universal honors experience following guidelines in the Honors Student Handbook.
