Prerequisite: GRK 350or permission of the instructor. This course is comprised of selected readings from classical authors such as Plato, Xenophon, Euripides, Herodotus or the New Testament. It emphasizes sight reading, vocabulary-building, and research skills. The course includes a cultural component which emphasizes the civilization of the ancient Greek world and the history of Greek literature.
