Through a combination of videotaped interviews, lectures, discussions and electronic field trips, you are introduced to the processes that form visual communication. Professionals in broadcast, video and audio production, corporate and organizational video, cable television and emerging technologies explain how they work their crafts. Emphasis is placed on developing an informed and critical understanding of the nature of media, how the media work, how they are organized and how they construct reality. You are introduced to the language and syntax of moving image communication and offered an opportunity to develop and understand these skills for effective communication.
